Blinds with side control chain

Fitting the brackets
The bracket positions illustrated are for a blind with the control chain on the right hand side of the blind. For a blind with the control on the left, the brackets should be at opposite ends. Brackets can be top, side or face fixed to any flat surface. They must be level to ensure the smooth operation of the blind. Check that the rolled up fabric will not touch any surface.
To calculate the spacing between the brackets, add 35mm (1.3 “) to the width of the blind fabric. Fix the 8 brackets so that the outsides of the brackets are this distance apart.

Fitting the Blind
Hold the blind to the brackets with the fabric hanging from the back of the blind. Fit the spring plunger into its bracket and push the blind into the bracket, depressing the plunger. With the locating hook pointing downwards and the chain guard lug at the top, place the hook into the vertical part of the ‘+’ shaped hole in the bracket. Allow the hook to drop downwards so that it locks into place in the bracket.

Blinds with spring control

Fitting the Blind
Make sure that the blind fabric is completely rolled onto the roller. Fit the spring plunger end into the right hand bracket. Push the blind to the right, depressing the spring plunger. Clip the blind into the left hand bracket, making sure that the location spigot is located Locating Slots on the lowest slot in the bracket - this is very important.

Tensioning the Spring
If the fabric does not wind up completely when the blind is operated, greater spring tension can be applied as follows:
a) Pull the blind down 250mm (10”) from its uppermost position and lock off.
b) Remove the blind from the brackets and roll the material, by hand, back onto the roller.
c) Replace the blind into the brackets and check for correct tension.
d) In the unlikely event that the tension is still insufficient, repeat steps a) to c). e) In the event of the tension being too great remove the blind from the brackets as above and roll the material, by hand, off the roller.
